ALEXANDRIA, VA-Animators at Law Inc. and its
sister brand Animators.com double the size of their headquarters with
a move to 814 King St. in Old Town Alexandria. The litigation firm and
the marketing firm, which brings together psychologists and artists,
will occupy nearly 4,800-sf of the 18,000-sf structure, taking up the
entire second floor of the four-story building. The lease is for two
years at $22 per-sf. Animators outgrew its former headquarters at 1423
Powhatan Street in Alexandria.
The company had been looking for just the right space for about a year.
"We are a very unique company, and our corporate culture is important
to us," company chief of internal affairs Tami Artice tells GlobeSt.com.
"We saw a lot of beautiful spaces but they didn't reflect that
culture. We wanted something unique and fun, and it had to be wired
well because we are a high-tech company." Indeed, the classic building
has been wired to accommodate high-speed technology. The other tenants
occupy their own floors, including Lardner-Klein Landscape Architects,
which is housed on the building's fourth floor.
